A List of the Best Books I’ve Ever Read

“The secret is not to read many books; the secret is to read the best books.” – Paula Ghete

Ever since I started reading more and better books, I knew I wanted to share them with you. So I’ve decided to make a list of the best books I have read – books that are eye-opening, informative and science-based. In short, these are books that can change your life – or, at least, your mind.

This list is quite short because I care more about quality than about quantity. These are the best books I have read so far and probably the only ones I would really re-read and recommend to others at the moment. But I am sure there are many great and life-changing books out there and I’ll continue to search for them. So I will continue to add to this list all the amazing books I find.

I have added a link to each book in case you want to purchase it from Amazon. I also added a link to my book review (for the books I already wrote about).
Feel free to check this list every time you are looking for a good book!

Books that will help you better understand the world

21 Lessons for the 21st Century – Yuval Noah Harari

Homo Deus – Yuval Noah Harari

Cosmos – Carl Sagan

The Theory of Everything – Stephen Hawking

Novels

I rarely read novels and when I do, I usually go for a good science-fiction book. Here are some that I found interesting:

Brave New World – Aldous Huxley

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy – Douglas Adams

The Star of Life – Edmond Hamilton

Citizen of the Galaxy – Robert A. Heinlein

Lion – Saroo Brierley

Books I have yet to read (but that will probably be included in this list)

I expect these 3 books to be truly eye-opening and they will probably be included on the list of the best books I’ve read so far.

Principles – Ray Dalio

Factfulness – Hans Rosling

Sapiens – Yuval Noah Harari

I would probably also include any book on politics by Noam Chomsky.

Keep in mind that this is not a lit of the “best books” out there. I don’t know if anyone can make up such a list, to be honest. But these are the best books I have read so far and I’m willing to bet that almost anyone will find these books interesting and worth reading. I’m sure there are many more amazing books out there and I’m always looking for them!

Have you read any of these books? What other books would you add to this list?
